Trusteeships
Periodically the Director is appointed as trustee of an attorney’s files or trust account when no one else is available to protect the clients of a deceased, disabled or otherwise unavailable lawyer. Rule 27(a), Rules on Lawyers Professional Responsibility (RLPR), provides the authority for the Director’s appointment following a petition to the Minnesota Supreme Court.
The Director is currently a trustee for the following attorneys:
- Julian J. Zweber, disabled (Court File No. A25-2072)
- Karl A. Oliver, deceased (Court File No. A25-0330).
The Director is maintaining files for the following attorneys:
- Steven B. Szarke
- Aleksandra Ljubisavljevic
- Patricia G. Mattos
- Edward H. Rasmussen
- Ignatius C. Udeani
- Gerald G. Dederick.
